It's my party....

Tomorrow is my birthday...the big 3-1!! Last year I was a little sad to turn 30. I just liked being able to say that I was "in my twenties"...even if I was 29. I didn't want to say that I am "in my thirties". Although, I am sure that when I am 39 I will be happy to say that.

But...I have accepted the fact that my twenties are a thing of the past and I am embracing my age...kinda. :)

Hubby took the kids to get me a birthday gift the other morning. He had taken Bubby Christmas shopping last year and they got me a box of Godiva chocolates. (My favorite!) So, when Bubby heard it was my birthday he kept saying "I go get Mama chocolate!". He brought them home later in the morning and the first thing Bubby said was "I get you chocolate!". So much for a secret. :)

My plan for the day is to go out shopping for a few hours...quilt store, shoes, clothes...all the good ones. Then, out to dinner with hubby and kids. Sounds like a great day to me!

How do you all like to celebrate your birthday?

Sarah,

I hope that you have a really terrific B-day and Easter. Oh how I wish I were in my 30's (I think).

Do what you want...its your b-day. And if you do Godiva Chocolates, savior every sweet bite and enjoy.

Have a wonderful birthday!!! I love to get a pedicure, have my favorite foods, spend time with friends and family; kind of basic. For my 40th I did go to Vegas, though.

Hope you have a great birthday! I feel the same about being 'in my 30's' but also have embraced it!

Back in the 1960's we used to say "don't trust anyone over 30," now we're saying, "don't trust those who are 80+ years old!" Have a great birthday!!

Have a great birthday! Ooh, Godiva chocolates-heaven. Hubby always gets me chocolates of various sorts for my birthday-lately it's been Harry and David truffles! And as to your age-you're practically a child!
