Where I have been...

I have been BUSY!! This weekend is our neighborhood's garage sale and is is huge!! The year that we moved in our neighbors had warned us and I smiled and thought to myself "Yeah right, how big could it be?"

Well...it is BIG! There are officers directing traffic, vendors set up selling funnel cake and lemonade and streets become one-way to help with the traffic flow.

I have been busy cleaning out, setting up, organizing and pricing. I will be happy when it is over because:
1. My house will be less cluttered
2. I will be done with the cleaning out, setting up, organizing and pricing
3. We will have more money in our pockets :)

Here is a pic of my garage right now:

MissyMiss loves to help with the garage sale. She sets up her own table to sell toys she is done with and uses her money to buy something new. She even has her own little fanny pack to wear and hold all her money in.

Now I am just hoping for good weather!

Sounds like fun! Lots of work, but fun! I love getting rid of stuff!

Our street is having a block wide garage sale this weekend, too. Unfortunately we are not able to participate this year as I will not be home and MJ will be with kids at M's baseball game. Maybe next year.

Sarah,

Good luck with the garage sale you look as though you have some really great items to sell. We already had our neighborhood sale at the end of April and like you I hated all the preparations but this sale was the best one we ever had. Whatever you make is more than you had when you started the day, right?

That looks fantastic!
I only ever did one car boot with my mum and we were mobbed by other vendors before we ever set up, and then didn't get that much custom all morning...
Looks like your neighbourhood is great!
I wouldn't like to do a car boot sale again!

I need to convince my wife that we need a garage sale, but she's just a clutter bug and would find it difficult to rid anything. Cure about your daughter with her own fanny pack and being able to purchase new toys with the proceeds. Is your daughter available to coach my wife???

Hope you had a good day at the garage sale. Aww...so cute about your daughter having a table of her own and being a little business woman!

Hope the garage sale went well. I can never have a garage sale because I live in such a rural area, so I never know what to do with all my clutter!

Sarah, you are funny!

You put tablecloths on the table for the garage sale?

Did you serve tea to all of your customers? ;-)
