This week I am down .9 pounds, which is great. My goal is 1.0, but I'll certainly take .9....close enough I figure. I had a great 6.5 mile run yesterday. I only had to wear 2 layers on top, which is a nice change. I am really looking forward to the spring...my bulbs are coming up, which means it can't be too far away!
I stopped at the sporting good store yesterday and was checking out fuel belts.
I am trying to decide between one with two smaller bottles on each side and one with a large bottle at the middle of the back. I know that I want one that has a zippered pocket where I can also fit some sport beans in. There is this one and this one.
Anyone out there try either one and have any tips for me?

I've had both kinds - a Nathan muse with a big bottle in the back, & now an Amphipod with two little bottles to the side.
I find there's less bounce & slosh with the amphipod, & I've been more comfortable with it.
I just ran with someone who used the big bottle in the back, & he seemed to handle it easily.
Great job on the weight loss!
My fuel belt has four little bottles, and I've never tried anything else, so I'm not much help to you. But I agree - definitely get something with a little zippered pocket.
Hey Sarah,
I've got the nathan belt wtih two small bottles on the side. I don't like running with a belt, but will do so on runs longer than 7 miles. This one seems to have better balance for me than the ones with only one bottle. Just my two cents.
Go Sarah... Go Sarah...you are amazing!
Now since I am not much more than a computer potato these days I can't help ya out on those belts but my pick would probably be the one with the two smaller bottles. I guess my thought for that is that I could put in two different beverages. That is a potato talking. LOL

I have one similiar to the first one but mine has 4 small bottles with a smaller pouch on the front. It really depends on how long you are running and how much water you need for your runs. I found that to be comfortable for up to 21 miles (the longest I ran with it).
I don't like the big one because it bounced around too much for me.
I have both kinds, except my little bottle one has four bottles.
I don't like running with them, but I find myself using the four-bottle belt more because it doesn't bounce around as much.
Oh, and congrats on your .9 weight loss for the week!
Great job on the weight loss-and I'm currently shopping for a belt, too. I stash a water bottle in my in-law's mail box, which I pass at 3 mile intervals, but it would be a lot more convenient if I just carried my own water. I'll be interested to hear what kind of belt you choose.
I have a triangle bottle belt that I use for shorter runs, less than seven miles and find that the one bottle does well...a backpack style camelbak that carries 28 ounces of fluids with a zipper pack for longer runs of 8-16. When I run even longer mileage I'll wear BOTH the triangle bottle belt and the camelpak. Don't care for the multi-bottle carrier as too many bottles to fill and clean...prefer the KISS method (Keep it simple stupid).
