A Great Run and a Question...

Today I got out the door early for a long run. I grabbed my gloves and headband on the way out the door, just in case. Well...thank goodness I did! Man, was it COLD and WINDY!!! The thermometer said 41, but it was extremely windy, so it felt much colder than that. Sometimes the wind was so strong it took my breath away. But...I made my 8 mile run! I am amazed at how much easier it is getting. I felt great at the end...very strong.

O.k...here is the background for my question. I was trying on some item in Ann Taylor LOFT (my fav!!) There was a woman in the room next to me and her husband or boyfriend (I am not sure which) was waiting right outside for her. After she would try on each item she would go out and show him and he actually said things like "You are definitely getting that!" and "I really like that on you." and "I can get the other size for you." What the heck!?!???!?!?!?!? My husband does not come clothes shopping with me, which is a good thing. He does not believe in browsing. His philosophy is go straight to what you need, grab it, pay and leave. What are other people's husbands like? Like mine or like the guy outside the fitting room? I am very interested to know... :)

Hubby not only goes shopping with me, he's gone SHOE SHOPPING with me, and he looks for stuff in my size, holds my purse while I try things on, and usually tells me, "If you like it, you should get it". But then, I go to gun shows with him, so I guess it all balances out!

Well, I don't get that kinda treatment either --- my husband can't stand shopping! I can hardly ever even get him to go grocery shopping with me - let alone clothes shopping. Even the mention of it and he runs....lol!

I would say that is a bit unusual! My hubby used to be more fun to shop with before the kids, now we just get worn out faster (and so does our patience). I love Ann Taylor Loft also, they have the best clothing for our age bracket.

I can tell you that my hubby is not that helpful when I go shopping. Actually, alot of times I'll go shopping with my mother-in-law because she is REALLY helpful when it comes to clothes. I would take her over hubby any day! At least on the day when I need to shop for clothes.

Hi Sarah :)

I love those aprons in the last post! Oh and personally, I'm not a wallpaper person either, but I kinda like the wallpaper in your kitchen :)

Rich is actually more of a shopper than I am, but I buy my clothes on the internet, so I've never had the chance to go clothes shopping with him. I would guess that he would though.

Your Hubby learned his shopping technique from his Dad. They both must have it down to a science. I am more of a browser. I can shop all day and buy nothing, but love the experience.

great that your run was successful and you still felt strong afterwards. It does get easier!

Seriously, the only way I would get comments like that from my Hubby shopping would be if we were in Frederic's of Hollywood
