Craziness

The last week or so has been CRAZY here. MissyMiss is turning 7 and we had her family party this past weekend. We also had some friends over, along with family, making for a total of 9 kids. Wow, did those kids have fun!! We did an Easter egg hunt in the house which was a huge hit! Here I am with the birthday girl!

I just got this book from Amazon. Has anyone else read it?? I am in the middle of reading Yasso's book and then I will start this one.

I also just ordered these Recovery socks. Has anyone tried them? So far I have heard good things, so I figured I would give them a try.
Last weekend my long run was 9 miles and it felt GREAT! I ran faster than usual and just felt awesome. The good weather definitely helped! This weekend I did 10...it was rough because the wind was wicked, but I finished at just slightly slower than last weekend. But, just a few hours after the run my legs were stiff and a bit sore. Who knew just one more mile could make such a difference?? I went to the gym this morning and did 40 minutes on the bike and my legs felt much better after.
I have another training question. My half is May 2. I plan to do 11 miles on 4/10 and 12 miles on 4/17. That will be my last long run before the taper. My question is what to do this weekend. I will not be able to run Sat/Sun, but have a babysitter coming Thursday morning so I can get my long run for the week in. Should I do another 10? Use it as a fall-back week and only do 8?? Need advice!!! :)

Your daughter is super cute!

I have read the book and loved it and the recovery socks rock!

As for your run, personally, I would do 8, but I would do it at race pace ...

I like TMB's suggestion. I was going to say 8 as well, but I like the idea of doing it at race pace.

But, what do I know, I'm spending my fall back week exercising my liver LOL.

ooohhh I want the book I really need to make time to go get it!

The recovery socks are seriously like my dessert after I run. I pretty much run home just for them!

Cute kiddo, Happy birthday to her

I would do 8 . . . you mentioned your legs were achy . . . they'd probably appreciate a slower week :).

Cute daughter! I have a seven year old too. They are so fun!

Good luck with running this week.

What a cute picture of you with your daughter - she looks just like you!

I want the book, and the socks. Send em over. :)

I like the idea of doing 8 at your goal race pace . . .

Such a cute pic! Happy Birthday to your adorable little girl.

I would go with 8. You have 2 more weeks with longer runs...and I would try to keep atleast 5 or more days between long runs.

Actually I wasn't as thrilled with the Bondiband! It didn't stay on as well as I thought it should. It seemed too big! If you have it over your ears it stays on better but that won't work for summer months!

Adorable picture!! Happy Birthday to your daughter!

I haven't read the book, but want to get it soon. How did you like Yasso's book? I read it a while back and thought it was pretty good.

Awww...love the pic! I have seen that book, but have yet to read it. I am sure it will be so relate-able.

I have those exact socks...color and all! I like them.

I agree with the others, I would keep it somewhere under 10, but at a decent pace.

Thanks for your eating schedule. I like the Kit Kat idea a lot!!

Happy Birthday to your daughter.

I'm with the others, go with an 8-miler this week, but push the pace.

I so need a pair of recovery socks. I use my son's soccer socks now but they're not quite the same. They are super comfy though!

I would prob do a slow 8 - have an easy week - but i'm suffering from recovery of h/m so i would say that - coloured judgement
